Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

How have you all been?!

I cannot believe I've hit the 75,000 mark!!!

I know compared to other deviants it's nothing, but to me I think it's great.

Some people don't think much of pageviews while other people try any crazy tactic to build it up. I like to think of it as a way on the amount of people that are interested in looking at your work.

I guess this is the moment to thank the people who watch me, so hold tight and I hope I won't get too emotional.

I don't want to get too big headed but I think my talent has been a blessing from Allah (God). I know many people aren't religious but this is my belief and I don't ask you to believe the same, but it wouldn't sit right in my own heart if I didn't say that first off. As a result I thank Him for any shred of talent I have and hope that I use it to its best capacity and improve on it throughout my lifetime.

I would also like to really thank you guys!!!

You guys have really helped me improve as an artist. All of your comments, feedback and critiques, have shaped into a better artist. So thank you for that. I would love to shout out some names nut it be rude for the people whose name I forget but you guys know who you are!

The positive feedback and encouragement I have received from you guys, has pushed me forward with my work and skill. It has made me feel like someone out there actually likes my art for what it is or isn't.

I think at the end of the day I have no guarantee as to how long I will live, and if I have a chance I would rather have died trying to do my own thing than not trying at all.

With a large group of followers and 1 daily deviation already received, I hope to do more with you guys.

So thank you and I hope you keep watching me!
