Peace and blessings to everyone!!!
As an artist, we are always looking for the magical moment when you think of a great idea. Unfortunately, a lot of the time ideas just don't happen like that. Inspiration cannot be forced - inspiration finds you. Ideas strike us out of nowhere usually when we least expect it.
Sometimes between projects you need some breathing space. This is one of the best things to overcome a creative block or when you can't draw anything.
In a situation when nothing is working out, it would be best to distance yourself from the project. Whether it's taking a few minutes to work on your world domination plans or taking a walk outside, it is essential to allow your mind to take a break. It's here within our subconscious that these inspired moments occur. Doing a whole lot of nothing could be the best thing you do when you're looking for a great big massive hit of creativity.
Get yourself out of that comfort zone so that you can feel the creative spark.
Before you know it, you'll be getting the inspiration that you were looking for.
I hope this article was useful.
Take care,
Asalaamu alaikum = Peace be upon you!

Beauty Is A Universal Language
"Beauty is a universal language and Islamic geometry is based on the notion of beauty. It’s filled with various shapes and patterns. The primary function of these patterns is to lead the mind from the mundane world and help the believer to reflect on life and the greatness of creation". I was invited onto the roof of Jealous Studio to paint a mural against the Shoreditch skyline, using the inspiration of Islamic geometry. In partnership with Jealous Studio, I will be releasing the following print inspired by my mural: Medium: Somerset satin white 410gsm paper Edges: Deckled Year: 2020 Edition: 75 Size: 53.30cm (w) x 53.30cm (h) You can order 'Beauty is a Universal Language' at a special preorder price for a limited time. Creativity in Isolation
In these strange times, I pray that you and your family are safe. The cultural and creative sectors are among the most affected by the current crisis. As an artist, I believe I have a social responsibility to bring people together. Even when art centers are closed, the demand for art is stronger than ever. Since the pandemic hit, visits to online galleries have skyrocketed, with people seemingly seeking solace in art and creativity. There’s been this hunger since we’ve all been locked down. Parents and their children are also making artwork full of positivity and hope. Art gives us access to a world that’s bigger than us – That sense of hope is so important. The arts are a positive force for our community, especially in turbulent times. With a possible vaccine on the horizon, I look forward to working with you all in this new era of shared adversity and hope. Peace and blessings! ----------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to my mailing
Anybody Out there?
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is well. I haven't been on DeviantArt for almost a year. I have been creating artwork but I uploading it to different social media website. I am trying to reach a larger market. On that note, come and hook up with me on there - Follow me on Instagram. If I can find you then I will add you too! I also updated my website - I wasn't happy with the other one as it was looking a bit old. Come in and take a tour, there is plenty to see. Check it out: www.teakster.co.uk I guess most of the people that I knew on this website have grown up and moved on to other things. I guess that is life. However, if you are part of the old guard and you are still here then give me a shout! Peace and blessings! ----------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to my mailing list Follow me on Facebook Follow me on Twitter Follow me on Instagram Follow me on Flickr Join me on Pinterest Join me on Behance Network Collaboration Artwork: Work with me
A Moment to Reflect on 2020
Welcome to the new normal This year, every one of us experienced a portion of difficulty and struggle. The current crisis greatly affected those working in the cultural and creative sectors. In these dark times, we need to look for the light to seek a place of inner gratitude and awareness of our countless blessings. As we all come to terms with the new normal, we MUST learn and grow. As we begin to look towards 2021 and prepare for the challenges that lay ahead, it is important that we recognise the significance of this year and the impact it has had on our lives, both personally and professionally. Even though this year was tough for me, I wanted to express sincere thanks to my supporters who helped me through this dire year. Even though this was a negative year, I wish you all a beautiful end to the year. In this new era of shared adversity and hope, I look forward to a fresh 2021! ----------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to my mailing list Follow me
